LEDs

The following table provides your device's complete LED functionality:

Red (blinking) Device is not available on the OBDII bus

Device Configuration

Within the Digi Dashboard tool, verify that the correct X-Trak 3 firmware version is displayed within the Device Information pane; currently Version 3.1.0.1.

XTrak Firmware Version

Within the Digi Dashboard tool, verify that the correct modem firmware is displayed; currently R7.45.5.XXX.

XTrak Modem Revision

Within the Digi Dashboard tool, verify that the attached GPRS antenna's signal strength is displayed within the Mobile Connection pane. Also verify that the link connection and that the Mobile IP Address displayed is correct.

SIM Installation

A SIM card must be supplied and activated by a cellular service provider for device operation. Ensure that your SIM card is properly installed within your device. See your device's quick start guide for information on installing your SIM card.

Blinking green GPS satellites detected, acquiring lock

Note: If the antenna is not connected to the ConnectPort X5 R device, the GPS device can indicate “phantom” satellites. This will cause the device to behave as if many satellites are visible to it, though it will never establish a satellite lock. This behavior is visible as continuous, fast blinking.

Python Configuration

Within the Manage Files section of the device's Python Configuration page, verify that the following 4 files are displayed (as described within the X5 R Python Configuration section):

  1. dpdsrv.py
  2. FleetApps.py
  3. FleetApps.zip
  4. python.zip

Python Configuration

Ensure that the dpdsrv.py file has been enabled for auto-run on the device (as described within the X5 R Python Configuration section).

SIM Installation

A SIM card must be supplied and activated by a cellular service provider for device operation. Ensure that your SIM card is properly installed within your device. See your device's quick start guide for information on installing your SIM card.

LEDs

The following table provides your device's complete LED functionality:

Solid green Device is on
LAN 0 - 3 Illuminates steady when there is a network connection to the LAN port and flashes when data is transmitted or received.
Wi-Fi Solid Illuminates steady if Wi-Fi activity is present
SERIAL Solid Illuminates steady if a terminal is connected to the SERIAL 0 port and the DTR signal is on
Blinking Flashes when data is transmitted or received
LINK Solid Illuminates steady when a wireless data connection has been established
SIM Solid Illuminates steady when a valid SIM card is installed
ACT Blinking Flashes to indicate that data is being transferred over the wireless network
SIGNAL 0 LEDs Illuminated No signal
1 LED Illuminated Weak Signal
2 LEDs Illuminated Medium Signal
3 LEDs Illuminated Strong Signal
