  1. INTRODUCTION

     The Digi Device Setup Wizard for Windows will guide you through the
     initial device installation.
     The Wizard discovers Digi devices on the network, assists the user
     in selecting a scenario to match your application, and saves the 
     configuration selected to the device.

  4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS

     Please update the firmware on your Digi device to the latest version
     before using this software. Earlier firmware versions may result in
     the device not showing up in the device discovery phase.

     Some devices may be discovered but not all settings may be configured
     if device is grayed out.

     If you are planning to configure a serial bridge between a multi-port
     device and one or multiple single-port devices, make sure that you select
     the multi-port device first. It is currently not possible to pick
     multi-port devices as the second device.

     If your device is on a separate subnet, it may not be discovered.


  5. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

     You might need to apply a Service Pack or install a newer version of
     Internet Explorer if you are planning to run the Digi Device Setup Wizard
     on older Microsoft operating systems.

     Microsoft Windows 98:
       Please update your web browser to Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.

     - Microsoft Windows NT 4.0:
       Please apply at least Service Pack 5 to your system and update your
       web browser to Internet Explorer version 5.0 or higher.

     - Microsoft Windows Me, 
       Microsoft Windows 2000, 
       Microsoft Windows XP,
       Microsoft Windows Server 2003:
       No Service Packs or browser updates are required for these operating systems.
