Description

When the primary server is unavailable, the secondary server never takes over.
 

Solution

The SNTP code has been upgraded to switch to the secondary server when the primary server is unavailable.

IPv6 addresses not supported in SNTP code
 

Case: 26365

Date fixed: 06/24/08

Description

When calling NAstartSntp, using primary and/or secondary time servers whose IP address was an IPv6-format address, would cause an error. That is time servers whose IP address format was that of IPv6, were not allowed.
 

Solution

The SNTP code had not been upgraded to handle IPv6 format addresses. That defect has been addressed. IPv6 addresses are now considered valid.
