Configure secure JTAG with IDE

When configuring secure JTAG mode, you must set up your debugger tool to verify the response key sent by the target device and make debugging possible. This example uses the ARM DStream DS-5 Eclipse-based IDE debugger tool.

  1. Enter the Eclipse environment into the Run>Debug Configurations>DS-5 Debugger menu.
  2. Select the configuration created for your debug session.

  1. Click DTSL Options. A new dialog appears.
  2. Select the SJC tab and enable the Secure JTAG support by clicking the checkbox.

  1. Enter the response key into the SJC key field. This is the same key that has been set up on the target eFuses with the trustfence jtag prog_key command.

The debugger is now ready to connect to the target again. In the case of a response key mismatch, the debugger will not be able to connect to the target.
