================================================================================ Release Notes PN 93009414 XBee 865/868LP Version 8072 ================================================================================ INTRODUCTION These release notes document changes made to the 80kbps firmware on the XBee 865/868LP radios. ENHANCEMENTS - Added the ATN? command which returns the timeout for the Network Discovery (ND) and Discover Node (DN) commands. BUG FIXES - LBT DigiMesh fixes. - Fixed a problem with voltage and temperature reading. This could potentially affect RF performance as well as the AT%V and ATTP commands. - Fixed an encryption bug, where under heavy load the incorrect key was used. - Fixed an issue with the Associate LED which was off during a 30 second wakeup initiated by a single commissioning button press. - Fixed an issue that caused the node to lock up when directed broadcasts were forwarded. - Fixed bug where ST was being changed on power cycle when in SM = 7. - The Associate LED was off during ATCB1 - 30 second wake from synchronous sleep. - Synchronous Sleep: Associate LED erroneously blinked when the network was asleep. - SPI/UART: Holding DOUT low while resetting did not cause module to enter SPI mode. - Fixed reliability issue with the Indirect Message Unrequested Tx Status - Fixed bug where the packetization didn't work correctly when RO=0 and BD<4. - Fixed bug where GPM erase commands caused a reset. - Fixed bug where baud rates 9600 and below had inaccurate bit timing (although the overall baud rate was usually accurate). - Fixed SleepingRouter bug where sync messages were unreliably relayed when BH=0. - Fixed bug where a module with a full TxBuffer (held off by RTS) would not go to sleep. - Fixed bug where Aggregate Addressing (AG) command was not working properly. KNOWN LIMITATIONS - No SPI data should be transmitted or received while an ATWR is in progress. Data could be lost. - When the ATRO parameter is set to 0, occasionally data will not be sent over-the-air until more characters are received serially. This setting should not be used. - The serial port is non-responsive for approximately 70ms after a baud rate (ATBR) change is applied either by the ATAC command or by exiting command mode. To work around this issue the user should insert a 100ms delay after applying a baud rate change. HISTORY Version 8059 (Initial Release) KNOWN LIMITATIONS - Setting the ATIR parameter to sample faster than the module can transmit the samples will cause the module to not sleep when using ATSM4. - When sending a directed broadcast (0x80 on tx option), the transmit status frame will always indicate that a route discovery has taken place, (discovery status byte = 0x02).
