INTRODUCTION



    This is a production release of firmware for the Digi Connect WAN RG GSM,

    Digi Connect WAN RG Edge10, Digi Connect WAN RG S1X, Digi Connect WAN RG V1X, and
    Digi Connect WAN RG C1X.

 

    The Digi Connect WAN RG family utilizes wireless cellular networks to connect

    virtually any RS-232/422/485 serial device to TCP/IP networks.  It

    allows remote devices to communicate easily and cost-effectively

    to a central office through standard TCP/UDP communications.

ENHANCEMENTS

    configurable number of failed originations.

    - Configurable delayed ACK, gratuitous ARP, RTO min/max, ARP TTL

    - Connections to Connectware Manager server can be compressed

    - Enhanced capability of the device to re-connect to the mobile

      network if the connection is lost for any reason

    Made RealPort protocol keepalives configurable with the 

    "set realport" command, lowering aggregate protocol traffic.  TCP 

    keepalive should be used if RealPort protocol keepalives are disabled



    Fixed an issue where Connect WAN Edge10 cellular

    module initialization/communication would work

    intermittently.



    Added a cellular session watchdog to monitor connection persistence.
