INTRODUCTION

This is a production release of firmware for the Digi One TS W and
PortServer TS 2/4 W.  These devices provide high-performance serial port
connectivity with added MEI support, 802.11b Wireless, and
9-30V DC power. These devices support a 10/100 mbps Ethernet network
interface, 11 mbps 802.11b, TCP/IP, Telnet, Reverse Telnet, SNMP, PPP, SSHv2,
PortBuffering, ARP-Ping, ADDP, DPA-Remote monitoring tool, and Digi's
patented RealPort software for COM or TTY port control and management.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS
	
    - Latency optimization mode is not suited for high bandwidth applications.
    - When transferring data in latency mode, command line interface (CLI) and
      WEBUI may be slower than normal.  If more responsiveness is required for
      the CLI and WEBUI, set the optimization to throughput.
    - Tftpboot is not implemented via the wireless link.
    - PortServer TS Wireless will only work with encryption key index #1 
      in the access point when using the WEP encryption
  
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

A TFTP server will be required for the following steps:

Command Line Upgrade of EOS
--------------------------

Upgrade the EOS with the command:

  boot load=<tftpserver>:82000829.bin

The unit should be reset after the EOS upgrade.

HTTP upgrade of EOS
--------------------

The EOS may also be upgraded from the Web UI configuration interface.

From the machine containing the image file to which you will be
upgrading, navigate the WebUI menus to "Admin\HTTP Upgrade" and enter
the path and filename into the text box on the screen and click
submit.
