INTRODUCTION This is a production release of the firmware (EOS) for the Digi One RealPort and PortServer TS device server product family. SUPPORTED PRODUCTS Digi One Realport PortServer TS 1/2/4 ENHANCEMENTS - None BUG-FIXES - Fixed an issue where during autoconnect, some inbound serial data is sent to the CLI KNOWN LIMITATIONS - Latency optimization mode is not suited for high bandwidth applications. - UDP Serial 'rmax' setting is now limited to 1-32767 to prevent a performance penalty should a user define all 4 ports to the old maximum of 65535. If yoy need UDP Serial buffers larger than 32KB you may either have to use the older release "H" firmware or switch to device from the PortServer TS MEI product family. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A TFTP server will be required for the following steps: Upgrading the POST and EOS -------------------------- When upgrading from a firmware release prior to 82000716_B, the POST code must be upgraded first. If you are unsure which version of POST you are running, upgrade to the most recent version. The most recent POST code, 82000679_C1, is located at http://www.digi.com/support. Enter the PART NUMBER (marked as PN:) from the bottom of your product. You can upgrade from the Web Browser of the product, or this is can be done from the Telnet/serial command line with: boot load-post=:82000679C1.bin A reset is necessary to allow the new POST to run. boot action=reset Upgrade the EOS with the command: boot load=:82000716_K.bin The unit should be reset after the EOS upgrade as well.
