Wavespeed Drivers for Windows NT 4.0 Release 2.20 Install information =================== The setup utility installs the following files: usbd.sys USB host controller driver for UHCI and OHCI. usbhub.sys Hub class driver for USB-compliant hubs. ionwslan.sys NDIS Miniport driver for Wavespeed Wireless LAN adapter. ionwsusb.sys USB Interface for Wavespeed Wireless LAN Adapter. wsprop.dll Wavespeed properties dialog DLL. oemsetup.inf Installation script for Wavespeed adapter. wsreadme.txt this file. usbtray.exe USB viewer utility. usbshare.dll USB shared memory interface. Release Notes: ============== v2.20 (Released 10/28/02) -------------------------- Initial Release. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inside Out Networks' Wavespeed Network Adapter Installation instructions: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Click "Yes" when prompted with "Windows NT Networks is not installed." Note that you will need the "Windows NT 4.0 Installation CD. 2. Click Next for "Windows NT needs to know how this computer...." to choose "Wired to the Network" 3. Click "Select from list" when prompted with "To have setup start searching..." 4. Click "Have Disk" when prompted to "Select Network Adapter" 5. Enter ":\winnt\ws_temp" when prompted with Insert Disk 6. Click OK in the Select OEM Option window 7. You will return to the window from step number 3, with the Network Adapters List showing "Inside Out Networks Wavespeed Wireless Adapter". Click Next. 8. Check the Network Protocol(s) that you want and click Next. (Default is TCP/IP). 9. Click Next in the Network Services dialog (unless you want services in addition to the defaults. 10. Click Next to install selected components. 11. Enter the location for Windows NT files. Usually found in the \i386 directory of your NT Installation CD. 12. If you selected TCP/IP as your protocol, you will be asked if you wish to use DHCP. If you have a DHCP server, say YES. (If you select NO, TCP/IP will prompt you for an IP address and Subnet Mask). 13. Select "Next" in the Show Bindings dialog. 14. Click Next to start the Network. This will take a few seconds. 15. Select a workgroup or domain for your computer and click next. 16. Click Finish and you will be asked to restart. Click Yes. 17. At this point, you will probably want to configure WaveSpeed. 18. Right click on "Network Neighborhood" properties to bring up the Network control panel. 19. Click on Adapters Tab. 20. Select "Inside Out Networks Wavespeed Wireless Adapter" from the Network Adapters list. 21. Click on Properties. 22. Modify the properties for your application and click OK. 23. Click Close 24. Restart. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- To uninstall Wavespeed drivers for Windows NT 4.0 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Right click on "Network Neighborhood" icon (located on desktop) and select Properties. 2. Select Adapters tab, and select Wavespeed Adapter and click Remove. 3. Answer yes when asked if you wish to continue. 4. Answer No when asked if you want to restart your computer. 5. Click Start Menu - Programs - Inside Out Networks - Usb Configuration Utility 6. Select the Advanced tab. 7. Click the Uninstall button and answer yes to "Are you sure..." 8. This will remove all the remaining drivers. Click OK to reboot your machine.
