EdgePort/E Drivers for Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Install EdgePort/E drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Connect EdgePort/E to the USB port of your PC and connect EdgePort/E's RJ-45 connector to your ethernet. 2. Found New Hardware Wizard message box will appear. Click Next to continue. 3. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended) and click Next. 4. Ensure that CD-ROM drive box is checked and insert the EdgePort/E Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. Click Next to Continue. 5. The next dialog box will indicate that drivers have been found for EdgePort/E. Click Next. 6. Windows may display the message "Digital Signature Not Found". Ignore it by pressing "Yes". Windows will start copy files until another screen appears indicating that the installation has finished. You may be prompted for system files so make sure to have the Windows Installation CD available. 7. A screen will appear indicating that Windows has finished the installation. Click Finish. 8. Depending on your network you may have to configure other network components such as TCP/IP. Your network administrator can help you with this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Install EdgePort/E drivers for Windows 98 and Windows ME: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Connect EdgePort/E to the USB port of your PC. 2. Found New Hardware Wizard message box will appear. Click Next to continue. 3. Your network administrator can help you with this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To uninstall EdgePort/E drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Make sure EdgePort/E is attached to USB. 2. Right click on "My Network Places" icon (located on desktop) and select Properties. 3. Right click on Local Area Connection (if there's more than 1, then select the one whose Device Name is "Inside Out Networks EdgePort/E/LAN") and select Properties. 4. Click the Configure button. 5. Select the Driver tab and click on Uninstall. 6. Click OK on the Confirm Device Removal message box. 7. This will remove the EdgePort/E drivers. Click OK to reboot your machine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To uninstall EdgePort/E drivers for Windows 98: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Make sure EdgePort/E is attached to USB. 2. Right click on "Network Neighborhood" icon (located on desktop) and select Properties. 3. Select Inside Out Networks EdgePort/E / LAN from the Network components list and click Remove. 4. Click OK. 5. Click OK on the Network Control Panel. 6. This will remove the EdgePort/E drivers. Click OK to reboot your machine.
