Wavespeed Drivers for Windows 98/Me & Windows 2000/XP Release 1.01 Install information =================== The setup utility installs the following files: IonWsLan.sys NDIS Miniport driver for Wavespeed Wireless LAN adapter. IonWsLan.inf Installation script for Wavespeed adapter. WsLanConfig.exe Wavespeed/LAN Configuration Utility Installer ReadMe.txt this file. Release Notes: ============== v1.01 (Released 10/28/02) -------------------------- Initial Release. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To Install Wavespeed drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Connect Wavespeed to the USB port of your PC. 2. Found New Hardware Wizard message box will appear. Click Next to continue. 3. Select Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended) and click Next. 4. If installing from a CD, ensure that 'CD-ROM drive' box is checked and insert the Wavespeed Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. Click Next to Continue. If installing from a local directory, ensure that the 'Specify location' box is checked. Click Next to Continue. When the dialog box that asks for the location of the drivers appears, either type in the path or Browse to the directory where the drivers have been extracted to. Click Next to Continue. 5. The next dialog box will indicate that drivers have been found for Wavespeed. Click Next to Continue. 6. Windows may display the message "Digital Signature Not Found". Ignore it by pressing "Yes". Windows will start copy files until another screen appears indicating that the installation has finished. You may be prompted for system files so make sure to have the Windows Installation CD available. 7. A screen will appear indicating that Windows has finished the installation. Click Finish. 8. Install the Configuration Utility. It can either be installed from the CD or by running the Configuration Utility installer 'WsLanConfig.exe' found in the same directory where the drivers were extracted to. 9. Run the Configuration Utility (by clicking its Icon in the System Tray) and configure Wavespeed. You will be asked if you want to restart. Click No. 9. Install the Configuration Utility. It can either be installed from the CD or by running the Configuration Utility installer 'WsLanConfig.exe' found in the same directory where the drivers were extracted to. 10. Run the Configuration Utility (by clicking its Icon in the System Tray) and configure Wavespeed. See Installation Guide for details. 11. After you have finished configuring Wavespeed, reboot your machine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To uninstall Wavespeed drivers for Windows 2000 and Windows XP: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Make sure Wavespeed is attached to USB. 2. Right click on "My Network Places" icon (located on desktop) and select Properties. 3. Right click on Local Area Connection (if there's more than 1, then select the one whose Device Name is "Inside Out Networks Wavespeed/LAN") and select Properties. 4. Click the Configure button. 5. Select the Driver tab and click on Uninstall. 6. Click OK on the Confirm Device Removal message box. 7. Click Start Menu - Programs - Inside Out Networks - Configuration. 8. Select the Advanced tab. 9. Click the Uninstall button and answer yes to "Are you sure..." 10. This will remove all the remaining drivers. Click OK to reboot your machine. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To uninstall Wavespeed drivers for Windows 98: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. Make sure Wavespeed is attached to USB. 2. Right click on "Network Neighborhood" icon (located on desktop) and select Properties. 3. Select Inside Out Networks Wavespeed / LAN from the Network components list and click Remove. 4. Click OK. 5. Click OK on the Network Control Panel. 6. Wait to be prompted to Restart and click Yes and wait for machine to reboot. 7. Click Start Menu - Programs - Inside Out Networks - Configuration. 8. Select the Advanced tab. 9. Click the Uninstall button and answer yes to "Are you sure..." 10. This will remove all the remaining drivers. Click OK to reboot your machine.
