Release Notes PN 93000382_A Digi ClassicBoard Driver Version 1.1 Windows 2000 40002126_A July 27, 2000 INTRODUCTION This driver supports the ClassicBoard PCI adapters in Windows 2000. SUPPORTED PRODUCTS ClassicBoard 4 PCI ClassicBoard 8 PCI KNOWN LIMITATIONS The driver supports PCI ClassicBoard adapters only. ISA is not supported. Driver upgrade is not supported, follow the procedure in the section "DRIVER INSTALLATION NOTES" to install new drivers. DRIVER INSTALLATION NOTES Note: Update Driver functionality is not currently supported. If you have already installed drivers for your adapter, you must uninstall them first. Otherwise, skip to step 2. 1. Uninstall previously installed drivers. From "Control Panel" run "Add/Remove Hardware" wizard. Follow instructions to "Uninstall" your Digi ClassicBoard PCI adapter(s). 2. Run the program dgcbcln.cmd to remove existing INF files for your adapter. This will ensure the new drivers will be installed correctly. dgcbcln.cmd is located in the folder with your downloaded drivers. 3. If you are installing new adapters, shutdown your computer and install the adapter(s) according to the "Hardware Installation Instructions" included with the adapter. Skip to step 5. 4. If your adapter(s) are already installed in the computer, from "Control Panel" run "Add/Remove Hardware" wizard. Select "Add/Troubleshoot device" and click "Next" to install the new drivers. 5. When the "Found New Hardware Wizard" appears, follow instructions to "Search for a suitable driver for my device". Specify the folder in which you downloaded the driver. 6. Windows will display a "Digital Signature Not Found" message, explaining that the drivers are not signed. Click "Yes" to continue the installation. You may see several of these warnings, click "Yes" to continue through all of them. 7. Follow instructions to complete the installation. 8. The "Found New Harware Wizard" may appear several times more depending on the number and type of adapters you are installing.
