Release Notes 93000335_D for Digi AccelePort RAS Novell NetWare Driver Package v1.0.4 Release Date: 3/22/1999 Please reference the following number(s) when searching the Digi FTP/WWW site for the latest software packages: Software Image P/N 40001908_D - NetWare RAS Driver Package These numbers are for informational purposes only: CD-ROM Software Image P/N 40001905 - NetWare RAS Driver Package Enhancements Support for the Acceleport RAS product line has been added. Added the ability to set Address Type and Numbering Plan information using dgrascfg.nlm for PRI and BRI ISDN configurations. Bug Fixes Switch support has been improved. Assorted modem improvements. Assorted ASYNC driver bug fixes. Fixed ISDN bug related to incorrect Address Type and Numbering Plan default settings. Known limitations This release has known fax issues. This release is intended for NW Connect and NIAS use. Caller ID data is currently ignored. Channelized T1 Wink Digits are curretnly ignored. On Channelized T1 Wink Start Trunks without dial tone supervision, modems must be initialized with ATX3 for dial out. On Channelized T1 Trunks all calls are routed to the serial driver. On ISDN Trunks, voice calls are routed to the serial driver, digital calls are routed to the ISDN driver. Currently, modems are not automatically assigned to open serial ports when calls are received. They are assigned based on the timeslot of the call. Therefore, unless all the serial ports to the board are open, it is possible a call will not be answered. Large MLPPP bundles greater than 23 will fail. ISDN numbers must not contain any non-numeric characters (e. g. "-"). On ISDN Trunks, the following rules are applied to modem dial strings: a) A comma (delay) in the first or second position is allowed, b) then the first non-numeric character terminates the dial string (e.g. 9,12345678 is a valid dial string and 9,1,234-5678 is not) Manual Errata All boards should be reconfigured by deleteing the SYS:SYSTEM\DIGIINTL\*.cfg configuration files and using the DGRASCFG.NLM utility. If DGMNGR.NLM reports an error during initialization one should delete the *.cfg files (EXCEPT FOR DFCAPRAS.CFG) from the SYS:SYSTEM\DIGIINTL directory and reconfigure the digital lines. For modem initialization string use the Novell provided "Rockwell compatible 56k (56 Flex)" string. ISDN modem use ISDN(AT control) under standard Novell initialization strings. The following software modules have some command line options that could prove useful. DGPAV.NLM (User must manually load) Digi Portassist Viewer - Views ISDN D Channel traces. Help: Load DGPAV -? Usage Example: Load DGPAV -B0 -L1 -C DGDXB.NLM (Loaded at system boot) Shows card statistics Help: dgdxb -? Usage Example: dgdxb status DFCAPRAS.NLM (ISDN Driver, loaded at system boot) With ISDN configured, shows ISDN statistics Help: DFCAPRAS -? Usage Example: DFCAPRAS linestatus brd=0
