DigiWARE Release Notes PN 93000241D for XALL.SYS OS/2 ISA bus Device Driver Version 1.5.6 IBM OS/2 2.11, Warp3, Warp4 Software PN 40001479E Software Manual PN 92000244B 10 Jan 2000 INTRODUCTION XALL.SYS OS/2 device driver for ISA bus intelligent adapters SUPPORTED PRODUCTS DigiCHANNEL PC/X*, COM/Xi, MC/Xi, Xem, C/X, EPC/X and PC/Xr ENHANCEMENTS BUG FIXES Corrected a race condition that existed in registering timer handlers for multiple cards which used to result in only the first card working. KNOWN LIMITATIONS If there are multiple cards in the system and one has an initialization problem, none of the cards will work. The driver de-installs. HISTORY 9 August 1998 Version 1.5.4 1. A new config.sys switch exists enabling the user to modify the default parity error detection scheme used by the Digi board. The switch is /E: . Valid parameters are: C - Check parity errors D - 16450 mode parity error marking (DOSMODE) I - Ignore parity errors (i.e. error characters discarded.) M - Mark parity errors A switch with no parameters turns off all parity error detection. The default setting of 16450 parity error marking is used if no switch is used. Examples: /E:MCD - Mark parity errors using 16450 method (DOSMODE). This is the default and is the same as no switch used. /E:I - Ignore parity errors. Error characters are discarded. /E: - Turns off all parity error checking. This is the most efficient mode.
