This package also contains Digi's MenuPort Interface (MPI), Port Configuration Utility (PCU), and Digi Port Authority (DPA). MPI V3.2.1: 1. Enhancements None. 2. Bug Fixes Fix PCU so function keys work properly in vt100 mode. 3. Known Limitations If multiple Xr(PCI) cards are being configured, and the cards support different numbers of ports, make sure the card placement on the PCI bus match the order in which they are configured in MPI. If running this software on SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 with SCO Merge 4.0, the files "/etc/conf/pack.d/epca/space.c" and "/etc/conf/pack.d/pcxx/space.c" must be edited, (if they exist after configuring your Digi hardware) to change the line "#if MRG_CNTLS > 0" to "#if 0". This will prevent - 1 - kernel relink errors. This will be fixed in a future release. The T1 modem bank is only supported under SCO OpenServer 5 releases. When the machine is configured for T1 modem banks, system defaults in the /etc/snmpd.comm file only allows the local machine to do writes. If you want Quick Manager (or any other machine) to be able to write to the local machine, you must add an entry in the /etc/snmpd.comm file for write access, and use the new community name when adding the new computer in Quick Manager. See the man page on snmpd.comm for more details. The T1 modem bank line card can be configured by entering the command "t1util -d " where device_name is the name of the utility channel "/dev/t1mbx31" and x is the module ID used when configuring the modem bank through MPI. If you get errors on boot that say "Another Process Waiting on Open", you can put the command "sleep 10" as the first line in "/etc/rc.d/8/pcuepca" which will delay the execution of the ditty commands until the download process has a chance to complete. 5 1/4" diskettes are no longer supported. At this point, the driver supports PCI initialization using the built in PCI BIOS routines. If the hardware or software does not allow use of the PCI BIOS routines, the board initialization will fail. Due to the nature of modems and printers, the Shutsave feature does not provide seamless execution for processes using these devices in the event of a power failure. The device driver update function from MPI v2.0.1 or earlier may not work properly with later versions of MPI. For maximum performance of throughput, all of the concentrators should be evenly divided between the 2 lines. This version does not support SCO XENIX. Canonical input ttyhog processing works slightly different than might be expected. If the UNIX input highwater mark is reached without the eol character being received, echoing stops until the board's input buffer overflows or an interrupt character or break is received. Scancode terminals, under VP/ix, must be configured for 8 databits, 1 stop bit, and no parity as scancodes are 8 bits wide. DOS Merge com port attachment is not supported for SCO - 2 - 3.2v2. 4. Manual Errata None - 3 -
