Release Notes (PN 93000613) ConnectPort Display M Series EOS and Bootloader. 82001357_C EOS December 18, 2006 INTRODUCTION This is a production release of firmware for the ConnectPort Display M22 ConnectPort is a customizable network enabled video display hub. Its Display Over IP technology allows standard video displays to be combined with other peripheral devices and placed anywhere on the Local Area Network (LAN) - without a locally attached host PC or thin client. ConnectPort supports standard terminal emulation, enabling simple migration from legacy terminal-based systems. It also supports the Virtual Network Computing (VNC) protocols, allowing remote access and control of a computer over the network or internet. SUPPORTED PRODUCTS ConnectPort Display M22 ENHANCEMENTS 1. Front panel reset. To reset CPD, press and hold the front panel button (just to the right of the USB connectors) until the LEDs start blinking. Release the button and press and hold it again until the LEDs start blinking rapidly and CPD will reset. 2. Front panel factory defaults restore. In case it is necessary to restore CPD to its original default settings, hold the front panel button while power-cycling CPD. The unit “hangs” while the button is held and the LEDs will all be off. Release the button and CPD will restore its factory defaults. 3. Improved support for 1366x768@60Hz video resolution. BUG FIXES 1. Serial port transmitter occasionally stopped and required a reset to recover. Fixed. 2. Reduced the maximum number of serial port characters (from 16 to 2) transmitted after being flow-controlled (both hardware and software) from a remote serial device. This eliminates receive overruns on remote devices with small receiver buffers. 3. Firmware upgrades occasionally failed. Fixed. 4. Improved network reliability. 5. Web server displayed static IP addresses backwards. Fixed. 6. CPD, as shipped with its factory default configuration, could not be configured via Device Discovery aaplication without a password. Fixed. KNOWN ISSUES Units configured to use static IP addresses (instead of DHCP) will have to be reconfigured if upgrading from the previous 1.01 EOS release. DOCUMENTATION ERRATA None.
