INTRODUCTION This is a preliminary release of the Digi Connect Wi-Wave R6000 Windows XP Driver software. 2. SUPPORTED PRODUCTS Digi Connect Wi-Wave R6000 3. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: A. Make sure that WZC (Wireless Zero Configuration) Service is enabled. It should be enabled by default. If not read instructions at: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms706593%28VS.85%29.aspx B. Unzip 40002813_A.zip into an empty folder (e.g. c:\wiwave). C. Connect adapter to USB. D. "Found New Hardware Wizard" displays a dialog box asking: "Can Windows connect to Windows Update to search for software? Select "No, not this time" and click Next. Next dialog box asks: "What do you want the wizard to do?" Select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)" and click Next. Next dialog box displays: "Search for the best driver in these locations.... Check "Include this location in the search:" and enter the location of the folder where you unzipped 40002813_A.zip. Then click Next. Finally, you may get a message indicating that you are installing software for a driver which has not passed Windows Logo testing. Click "Continue Anyway". E. The Wiwave drivers will be installed and "Found New Hardware Wizard" should display a message to indicate that it has finished the installation. Click Finish. 4. HISTORY: 1. 10/8/2010 Initialize Release. 5. KNOWN ISSUES: - Currently Wiwave can only be configured using WZC. - Power Management is unsupported. Wiwave will prevent Windows from entering standby or hibernate. - The WZC Wireless Network View will not refresh while the Wiwave adapter is connected.
