The portdesc.sh shell script allow the ability to assign/change a port 
description from the command line of the Digi ConnectPort LTS product line.

Deployment and execution:

Upload the file to the ConnectPort LTS unit from the web interface under the
File Management menu.

Telnet or SSH to the ConnectPort LTS unit, and login as root.
 
Enter bash to get to the bash command prompt:

#> bash

tmp] $

Change to the /usr2 directory:

tmp]$ cd /usr2

usr2]$ Run the following commands:

usr2]$ tar xvf portdesc.tgz

usr2]$ chmod o+x portdesc.sh

usr2]$ /usr2/portdesc.sh

Follow the prompts for entering the port number and port description.  

*Please note that any ports with an existing description will be over-written.
